When I was using Zephyr Squad, I could easily get a report showing which Requirements (Jira issue) that should have Tests (Jira issue) don't yet have them - is that something that is easy to do in Zephyr Scale. I also used to have a matrix showing Requirements to Work Items to Tests - is that something that is possible? I also found that getting a decent report out of Zephyr Squad meant purchasing the midori 'Better PDF Exporter' and the 'Better Excel Exporter' because we have to send our tests to our clients for review before running, for example, factory acceptance tests and we need very nice and tidy looking reports. The main pain with Squad is that you couldn't see the Test details (like description) from the Jira issue alongside the data from Zephyr. How good is the exported reporting in Zephyr Scale? Zephyr Squad or Zephyr Scale? Hi, I'm working on improving connectivity between the disparate tools in use at my current company. We are constrained to using IBM Doors for Requirements Management and have Jira for Workflow Management. We need to connect the two and the connection between these would depend on picking up the actual Jira tickets, for example we have would instances of Requirements in both systems, kept in sync by an integrator. And we'd somehow have to update the Requirements in Jira with a link to the tests. This is all Data Centre by the way. I want to add Testing inside Jira to this mix. Does anyone have any experience of this type of thing. If we were to go with Zephyr Scale would we still have connectivity as the Tests aren't actually Jira issues. If we want a compliance Matrix from Requirements to Work Items to Tests, is that still doable when Tests aren't Jira issues. Are tests in Scale easily searchable and do they use the Jira linkage system? I'm very torn. I've used Squad before and am pretty certain it will do what we need, but Scale is 'prettier' and has more reports and functionality. Any advice would be welcome. Enable issue link from issues to tests wrong way round Before we installed Zephyr we had a Tests link set up as Tests / Is Tested By When I use this relationship with "Enable issue link from issues to tests" they come out the wrong way round e.g. Issue 'tests' Test rather than Issue 'is tested by' Test. Does anyone know what can I do to resolve this without disturbing all the correct links that are currently in place? Re: TestsCases and related zephyr actions missing Smartbear were able to solve this for us relatively easily and quickly. If it's happened to you, they have a solution that doesn't involve you fiddling with it yourself - so get in touch with them. Re: TestsCases and related zephyr actions missing We are also suffering from this. And we too have hundreds of test cases to resolve. I can see what has happened. There was an attempt at automatic update at 12:13:56 PM on the 10th October, followed by an install of Zephyr. Both with a user of 'anonymous' so definitely an automatic update. The first thing on the Zephyr installation instructions is "Before installing Zephyr Squad in Jira, go to Jira Settings > Issues > Issue types and make sure there is no issue type with the name Test. If it exists, please remove or rename this issue type." So Zephyr, finding existing the issue type 'Test', has made a new one of its own called 'Tect' - which is now the 'official' Zephyr test type. Like others on here I can rename Tests to Tect but that's not exactly a long term solution. I suspect the solution going to be to move all Test to Tect, remove the Test issue type, uninstall and reinstall Zephyr (which, since there is no 'Test' should create one) and then move everything in Tect to Test. BUT - I'd rather not touch anything without confirmation in case I make things very much worse. Watching this thread with interest, as I have no idea how to get out of this. Importing Test steps to existing Zephyr Tests Hi We are moving a project between Jira cloud instances. I have imported all issues including Zephyr Tests. Now I need to import the Test Steps from the old instance but I've come across what looks like a catch 22. Apparently it is a pre-requisite of the importer for all imported fields to be on the Create screen BUT the Zephyr test steps don't appear on the create screen and can't be added to it. Any ideas how to resolve this. I can't face keying in nearly 1000 test steps. Thanks Edited to add, I'm trying the old Zephyr Importer that I used successfully many times on Jira Server. Instead of add steps to an existing test, it now creates a new one and then gives "Unable to add testcase ending at rowNumber - 9. Error:Unexpected response code: 401 Your presented credentials do not provide access to this resource." I've recreated my access and secret keys and I'm certain of my username and my permissions I'd be grateful for some help. Zephyr Single project Cloud to Cloud Migration Hi Can anyone tell me the best way to migrate Test Executions from one Jira Cloud Instance to another. I can easily use the Jira importer to create new test and test steps but there doesn't seem to be any way to move the Test Cycles and Test Executions. Since we have 100s of tests and test steps in the old project, we'd rather not have to do this manually.
