ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsReadyAPI takes 450 seconds to start under Applocker Hi My company has implemented AppLocker. This means no files can be executed from the user profile, ie. from %APPDATA%. Event viewer: %OSDRIVE%\USERS\<user>\APPDATA\LOCAL\JXBROWSER\7.1\BROWSERCORE64.EXE was prevented from running. Starting from ReadyAPI v3.2.0 it takes the program 450 seconds to start up, during which I can only see a white screen. Then another 450 seconds of freezing after start-up if I hit the "wrong" element, eg. if I click 'Endpoint Explorer'. After start-up the dashboard reads: Browser component disabled. The issue persists in the latest version 3.3.2. I can live w/o the browser, but waiting 450 seconds every time I start ReadyAPI is not good. Can the browsercore sub-process be noved or started from another location (eg. under program files)? Or can the browser component be disabled alltogether? System: Windows 10, 64 bit. Install dir:C:\Program Files\SmartBear\ReadyAPI-3.3.2 Cheers SolvedRe: Value From Set doesn't generate random value sonya_mthanks, and yes I'm back in full force. I can reproduce the behaviour in ReadyAPI v3.3.2. As previously described it's as if the Data Generator is not reading the size of the array properly. Cheers Re: Value From Set doesn't generate random value Hi HimanshuTayalandsonya_m Thanks for the reply, and sorry about my late reply (I was home sick). I double-checked and I do have Random generation enabled. I've attached a scrshot to show my experience better. This is in ReadyAPI 3.3.0, but I just came back to work and found a v3.3.2 ready for download, so I'll give that a try. Cheers, Nico Value From Set doesn't generate random value Hi Not sure if I'm using this wrong, or I stumbled onto an error. I've got a Data generator step which creates an accountType. Settings are as follows: Property Type: Value From Set Custom values: abc def Generation Mode: random Duplicate each value: disabled Whenever I test this, even with 20 rows, all I get is abc. If I set generation mode to Sequential, abc and def are alternating as expected. For my test I just generate 1 line at a time, and I need this to be a random selection between abc and def. Cheers Edit: If I add a third value, eg. ghi to the custom value set, the script now selects one of the first 2 values at random, ie. abc or def. Is this possibly a bug in ReadyAPI where the Date Generator doesn't understand the range of the array? Re: [Solved] DataSource Loops skips every other step Thanks, that was it. Even with just an empty groovy script test step my debug loop script now iterates through all rows. The same still doesn't happen for the actual script, but now I get another error which will be suitable for another thread. Again thanks, andgroovyguythanks to you too. [Solved] DataSource Loops skips every other step Hello I have tests set up to iterate through datasets, but I noticed that not all tests are executed. Every other step is skipped by the DataSource Loop. If I test the DataSource itself all data is generated. It doesn't matter if I get data from the built-in generator or fecth it from an external file. I double-checked both Datasource and Loop options, and as far as I can tell everything is set up correctly. This morning I build a quick debug test; 1. DataSource (which generates 10 numbered strings) 2. DataSink (storing the output in ReaduAPI and a txt file) 3. 1 second sleep 4. dataSource Loop. Even this simple little test still skips every other numbered line, eg. it will do rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10. I've attached scrshot at the bottom with all details of every relevant step in this debug test case. It should be relatively easy to reproduce the test. OS: Windows 10, 64-bit ReadyAPI 3.3.0 (and 3.0.0) License: SoapUI Pro (Fixed) I'm at a loss here. Can someone please tell me why ReadyAPI skips every other line? Solved
