Why can I not run a Test Set (no "play" icon is visible).
Evaluating QAComplete, where I'm the admin, and created a second user "Benji" to simulate a test technician. Logging in as Benji and do not see the blue "Play" icon to allow running ofthe test set I created as the admin. Found this statement onthis page of on-line help.: "On the Test Sets page, there is the Run Now button next to each test set that you can run:" but the phrase "that you can run" might be implying there's a privilege/access right that controls this (similar to the Allow running tests from the test librarypermission), or perhaps not?? I've even assigned the Test Set to "Benji". Using IE11 if it matters.1.3KViews0likes1CommentRe: QAComplete 101 - Top Q and A recap!
Regarding Question #11: "Do we have a way to create shared steps? . . . " I do not consider the answer provided an adequate solution. Instead, please visit this "Idea" and hopefully by giving it lots of kudos it will be added to the product soon! Call shared steps within a test and at execution, include the detail of the shared steps.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Add Photos or Files to Test Steps While Editing Steps
Another possibility is to click into a "Add picture" field and can immediately Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot from the clipboard. While QAComplete could provide a default file name, give me the ability to change the name before I click the "Save" button.5.4KViews0likes0CommentsPossible to edit a note in Test Set
I've added a note to a Test Set, and noticed an error I want to correct - is this possible even (that is, editing the note)? I have checked the User's Guide, but it doesn't even mention adding a note to the Test Set, let alone being able to edit it!1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Re-usable (Template) Tests
The following "Idea" could be a possible solution to your request: Call shared steps within a test and at execution, include the detail of the shared steps. If it gets enough Kudos (please add your "vote"), it might be considered for product improvement!1.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Tests within tests

Agree that this is annoying behavior - whoever thought 6 lines was enough to see a step? Sizing should be dynamic - call it "automatic sizing - showing the entire test step so scrolling isn't needed. Having to scroll is inefficient; that is, a waste of time as it add no value. If dynamic adjustment to the content isn't possible, then at least let the *user* configure how many lines they want to see - they can make the best decision between too much white space and seeing the desired amount of content.4.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Call shared steps within a test and at execution, include the detail of the shared steps.
Ooohhhh - parameterize the data - great idea Novari-QA! Perhaps not absolutely required at first release - so as to get "shared steps" out for use/feedback - but definitely in release after that. EXAMPLE Usage:"parent" test case calls the shared steps "Login" with parameter of "Admin" for first run of test, then next run could be Login as "typical user", and 3rd run as "Support".12KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Call shared steps within a test and at execution, include the detail of the shared steps.
I'm surprised this isn't in the product already. I haveused this capability in Microsoft's TFS-very useful, for itsaves a lot of time writing tests, *and* maintaining them. Would ideally be accompanied by a tracing feature of "Here's the list of test cases that use this 'shared steps' component.". This one allow evaluation of an update to the shared steps (that is, does the update break any of the tests that reference/use the shared steps).12KViews0likes0Comments
