Re: How to make SoapUi NG Pro - jUnit Error?
If you look at my original attached snip, you will see the JUnit html report divided into three columns: TestCases Failures Errors 1 1 0 Note: failures are anticipated and checked for with assertions while errors are unanticipated. I consider a failure to be something that I expect ( legal return values for instance ) and something that doesn't affect other testcases than the current one. An error should bring the entire test to a stop, as it's so severe that the reminder of the tests and quality cannot be guaranteed. In my case , I would like an error if the API is unreachable. It does not make any sense to continue the test if the API is down.7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to make SoapUi NG Pro - jUnit Error?
Hi again Your input is very much appreciated. I do still have issues though. I've created this groovy script to make sure that it would fail, but it refuses to be interpreted as an 'error' .. 'failure' is the best thing I can get out of it. I'm puzzled :) testRunner.testCase.testSuite.project.getTestSuiteList().each { it.getTestCaseList().each { //Switch the parameter value to 'true' if you need to enable 'Abort on Error' option it.setFailOnError(false) } } testRunner.fail("Result is not as expected!") if (somevalue != "expected value") { throw new Exception("Result is not as expected!") }7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.6KViews0likes2CommentsRe: How to make SoapUi NG Pro - jUnit Error?
Himsiadak Thanks for the heads up. I was aware of this option and no matter whether I ticket it off or on the behavior is still the same. Same thing goes for the 'Fail Test Case on Error' unfortunately. In the JUnit html report it still shows as 'failure' instead of 'error' and the TestRunner doesn't quit. Do you know if there are similar settings elsewhere? Br7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.6KViews0likes6CommentsHow to make SoapUi NG Pro - jUnit Error?
Hi I'm having difficulties the API I'm working on and would like my entire test to abort with an error, if the API is down. When using TestRunner I have only managed to receive a 'failure', which isn't good enough. With the release of ReadyApi 2.0 GetData behavior was changed and we are NOT impressed. Font size is set and unchangeable Column width is set and unchangeable This means that ANY TestSuite, TestCase etc. with names longer than 16 characters all look a like, making it impossible to be efficient as new functionality forces us to MouseOver to be able to find the correct TestCase name. Please at least make the GetData Columns resiazeable, so we can see the names of our TestSuites and TestCases again! See attached file.8KViews13likes4Comments
