Blank Error Message on Adding REST service
I created a project and in SoapUI NG (Ready!API) with REST services and done some coding and it all worked fine. I saved the project. Today when I enter the project, I cannot access some of the GET services I created. Clicking on the Request, it doesn't open the Request Editor for me. When I try to add the service as a new service, I also get a blank Error Message. What am I doing wrong? I am a Ready! API (1.4.1) SoapUI NG user and I need help regarding the transfer of a message from an Assertion to a DataSink. Here is my scenario. I run a web service thay returns all the products a client may have. There may be more than one element return and his 'Health' product may be returned in anyone. I cannot tell in which element it will be, if it even exists. In this case it is in the second element. Ultimately, I have an assertion to check whether the word 'Health' is found anywhere with the returned XML. Here I am doing it with an Assertion Step. I am not failing the Assertion as I only want to know whether a client has Health or not. I want to continue with the DataLoop but I want a report where I write the Message from the Assertion to a file next to the Client Number. So Property Transfer offers me the chance to use the Assertion as Source, but I cannot choose a Property from the Assertion. The Property dropdown is disabled. So ultimately, I just want a result to be returned. Whether it is the Test Step passed or failed, or the Assertion status, or anything that can tell me whether I found the value or not. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: How to return blank value in Property Transfer when no value is found
Thank you very much. Regards9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: How to return blank value in Property Transfer when no value is found
Thanks for reply. In this screenshot, I eventually want to write the mobile phone number returned in this web service to an Excel report created by a Data Sink. A value may or may not be returned by the web service. If a value is not returned, I would like to write a blank value to the report instead of the value indicated by the red arrow in the second screenshot. Currently the value indicated by the red arrow is what will be written to the output by the Data Sink. I would replace that with a blank, should no valid mobile phone number be returned. This is the value written to the Excel report by the Data Sink. Thanks for any assistance.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.5KViews0likes3CommentsHow to return blank value in Property Transfer when no value is found
In Ready! API I run a web service and transfer the value of a field to a data sink property. However, when no value is returned in the web service, the path is passed and written to the data sink file: "<ns2:mobilePhone xsi:nil="true" xm..." My apologies if there is a simple solution I've overlooked. Thank you.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.6KViews0likes5Comments
