Re: testrunner.bat - No valid SoapUI NG license exists
Per SmartBear support, the work around for this defect is to modify the TestRunner.bat (yes this should make you uneasy)and alter the JAVA_OPTS variable to include two additional parameters: -Duser.name=<username>-Duser.home=C:\Users\<username> when specifying the <username> I did not have to provide any domain information even though my service account was a domain account. Hello, We are using the SoapUI testrunner to verify web service availability. Our monitoring solution executes a script we've written (vbscript) which in turn executes the SoapUI testrunner. I was temporarily using one of our floating license, which worked fine, but received our fixed license key today. I launched Ready! API using run-as and providing the service account credentials and installed the license successfully. I used the service account that our monitoring solution uses to execute the vbscript. Since switching to the fixed license file, I now get the error 'No Valid SoapUI NG license exists'. I'm stumped! I'm able to reopen Ready! API via run-as and my service account credentials and the license still appears valid. I've even tried using the -l (lower-case L) and provide the path to my activated license file. Still no-go. That doesn't explain why Visual Studio would be able to download the WSDL. Also, just tried another tool called WCF Test Client and it too is able to successfully download the WSDL and call the webservice. The networking aspect of it should be working the same across the board.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions935Views0likes0CommentsRe: InvalidDefinitionException for HTTPS Endpoint
If not apparent, when my hosts file entries are enabled, I am able to access the endpoints in a browser and via Visual Studio. I have verified that both are respecting my hosts file by using wireshark to ensure the traffic is going to the expected IP address.9 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: InvalidDefinitionException for HTTPS Endpoint
I tried another HTTPS endpoint and had the same result. I should have mentioned it earlier, but I have entries in my host file so that I get routed to a specific server in our environment (by-passing the load-balancer). When I commented our my host file entries and restarted Ready! API, everything seems to work. When I re-add my host file entries and restart Ready! API, I get the error referenced everytime. Hello, I'm to point of great frustration trying to add a new SOAP project to Ready! API (v1.5). I seem to have no issues adding HTTP endpoints but it throws errors when I tried to add two different HTTPS endpoints. Both endpoints are within my local network and should not require a proxy server but I have tried all three proxy modes (None, Auto, and Manual) with the same result. I'm able to view the WSDL in a browser and I was able to import the WSDL to a Visual Studio project and actually call the service without issue. I do an the JRE v1.8 installed and I ran across posts of other java instances interferring with SoapUI. Not sure if that could be the issue. To test this, I removed the JAVA_HOME environment variable and restarted Ready! API with the same result. I've attachede the Ready! API and Error logs.
