Re: When Installing a License from a File Nothing Happens When I Click the Next Button
I saw something like that at some point as well. You can't active the same license twice basically, at least one for individual use. Not 100% sure but you might have to make sure you've uninstalled it from any other versions running on your computer. If that doesn't apply I'd send them a support ticket, they've been good about answering mine within a day. I wouldn't be surprised if they need to intervene and sort out your personal license issues. Especially in a situation like this.7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: When Installing a License from a File Nothing Happens When I Click the Next Button
Hey, the reason I left that as solved is because (if I recall correctly) the conversation with them involved some private information. You're correct though that I should have written up the general things they had me try. 1. Make sure the license isn't being used on another machine. If it is you need to go under Help -> License Manager. And uninstall the license first. 2. The actual issue that I had was I was trying to use Ready API on a very old machine (was actually a Virtual Machine). When I changed to a newer machine everything worked fine. No idea what caused the problem in that old machine though. It was some old Windows 7 VM.7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.9KViews0likes2CommentsWhen Installing a License from a File Nothing Happens When I Click the Next Button
I'm installing a license as I've done many times before (this time in Ready API 2.0). But for some reason when I click the next button after select the file, nothing happens. If I put an invalid file in it does recognize the file is bad. I've tried restarting/reinstalling but no luck. Any idea what is going on?Solved7 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.2KViews0likes6CommentsRe: DataSource Grid iteration via Groovy
Way late on this but you can reset the datasource to load from the first value by doing the following: testRunner.testCase.getTestStepByName('DataSource').repositionAtStartRow( testRunner, context) Taken from here: https://community.smartbear.com/t5/SoapUI-NG/Looping-a-Datasource-in-Groovy-script-Always-starts-at-last-row/td-p/1015287 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.4KViews0likes0CommentsInclude Ready API Maven Plugin in Maven Build
I am trying to have a SoapUI testing run through maven (Ready API 1.9.0) but I'm having an issue getting the plugin with the following error: Could not find artifact com.smartbear:ready-api-soapui-pro:jar:1.9.0 in group(https;//forgeLocation). I think it also couldn't find some other ready-api plugin stuff that looked like they had a similar name. I currently cannot add those plugin(s) to the location they are looking at them for, so I was wondering how I could add them to my maven build and just look for them there. Any help would be great. Thanks!Solved3.7KViews0likes1CommentRe: Cannot Change Output File Within a Loop
Quick update. I tried slimming down the test to just loop and make multiple output files (Changing the output name), ignoring any data changes. Still ran into the same issue. So maybe this just isn't possible. At least with excel files. Might stem from the fact that soapui doesn't like release files from memory sometimes.8 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Cannot Change Output File Within a Loop
I'm not sure how to properly screenshot it but I will try. Here is the first screenshot with the test flow. It is pretty simple. In the below screenshot. It runs over several files (On the left). But always just outputs to a single file on the right (All of the data is correct in the file, but it needs to be split up into multiple). The code to change the output path is pretty simple and I've already tested it works correctly. def filename = context.expand( '${Read in File Names#Filename}' ) def outPath = "PATH/" + filename + ".xlsx" testRunner.testCase.testSteps['Properties'].setPropertyValue("OutputPath",outPath) Also here is the datasink step. I'm trying to loop over several excel files in a directory, perform some actions, then output a new file for each one of those based on what I did. My script is performing all of the actions correctly except it will not rename the out file in the Data Sink step. It will just keep using the same file and dump everything into it. I've tried several ways of changing the output file name with no luck (Use property transfer, direct reference, groovy script). I have confirmed through debugging that it is correct grabbing the next file name and performing the actions on all the files. It just wont change the Out File name. Any help or suggestions on things to try would be great. Thanks!Re: Cannot Connect to Oracle RDB Database
Got it to work with: import oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver import groovy.sql.Sql com.eviware.soapui.support.GroovyUtils.registerJdbcDriver("oracle.rdb.jdbc.rdbThin.Driver") sql = Sql.newInstance("jdbc:rdbThin://servername:port/dbname","username","password") def query = "select * from table" def res = sql.rows(query) log.info res[0] Looks like I needed the register JdbcDriver part for it to work properly!8 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.5KViews1like0Comments
