I think maybe the intent or ideal operation would be for material uploads to be inhibited during the Inspection phases to force all reviewers to finish reviewing before the next upload comes. In practice, some reviewers are slow to even start reviewing and the author is usually compelled to fix whatever defects are there ASAP. Collaborator allows them to do that which, from a pragmatic point of view, is probably for the best. The downside is that reviewing can become messy. A defect can be raised and many uploads occur before or after the defect is actually fixed or gets closed. Collaborator used to show the uploads in defects and comments so you could at least easily see which upload a defect was raised in. It no longer does. So now you have to hover and get the timestamps, go to the review screen get the upload timestamps and figure out which upload to compare with to verify that the defect has been fixed. I guess including the uploads in the defect's text was making all the defects (and comments) conversations too big. So, this could be fixed by giving the option to enforce no uploads until in Rework. Maybe at a review level rather than global. Or provide a means (button) for an author to indicate to the reviewer that the defect has been fixed and is ready to be closed. Collaborator then uses that to show the pair of uploads either side of the fix. Authors could just add a "fixed" comment to the conversation but it still needs some work to figure out which upload the defect was raised in and compare back to. And the reviewer may still need to look at timestamps to figure out the upload it was fixed in. Re: Have ability to add closed reviews to projects I have now found the "Allow edit general information of completed reviews:" option which does allow you to edit the Project in a Completed Review Have ability to add closed reviews to projects We've been using Collaborator for many years and have reviews that closed well before the project feature was added. I would be very useful to be able to add these retrospectively to projects without having to re-open the review. This is because to then re-close the review you have to get all the Reviewers to send it to completed and, apart from the hassle, in many cases the reviewers no longer work for the company. Report Document Inspection Rate across reviews In a review detail report, you can see a document inspection rate (pages/hour) tabulated. In reports, this does not appear in the available columns. So, I'm trying to generate this myself using PowerBI. In the review_metrics_summary, I can see kloc_per_hour but no pages_per_hour. I've looked through the other table headings and am struggling to see how to calculate this myself. There is no pages total for a review, for example. How is pages/hour calculated in the detail report? Thanks in advance. Re: Auto logout from web interface Sorry "could ..." not "can even configure the time ..." Re: Auto logout from web interface It used to exist. In fact you can even configure the time, albeit only in units of hours. I asked for minutes because I thought 20 minutes inactivity was plenty. Then it became hard-coded in as 1 hours. Now it seems to be gone. Does anyone think they've ended buying more licenses than they really need? Filter defects by user It would be useful to be able to filter open defects in the review materials screen by participant. At a minimum, another filter button that filters down to your own open defects. Or more general, a drop-down to select a participant to apply to any of the other filters. I realize you can sort in the review summary screen but having a facility to quickly navigate through your own open defects in the review materials screen would be very useful. Re: Error uploading Word documents to V9.5 Hi Damien, Thank you for the reply. The problem is at the server end. The file uploads completes(so long as not in IE - the subject of another ticket). Then I get this. I attached the debug logs etc to the ticket. Mark Error uploading Word documents to V9.5 Since upgrading to V9.5 we are now seeing the message "upload failed due to internal server error" when uploading Word documents from the web UI. Uploads are fine for other file types. Has anyone else seen this problem? I have raised a support request but we need to get to the bottom of this urgently. I tried re-installing the last Collaborator version but that did not work (server wouldn't respond). SolvedProvide facility to organize review materials It would be useful to be able to organize review materials into something like a folder structure. E.g. to reflect the organization of source code packages or to segregate supporting reference material or checklists (that are not necessarily for review themselves) from actual review material.
