Re: Import Requirements - link requirements to releases
What is the current status for this request? I will have to create several releases over time and I need to reassign to a release all the same requirementsthat applied to the prior one. Requirements are organized in a large folder structure and can be over 1000. How can I do this in 3 easy (and quick) steps?2.4KViews1like0CommentsRe: How to import release contents from csv/xls in QA Complete.
Enhancement 1 Some user stories there. I have a series of CommonRequirements that are categorized in different folders. These requirements apply to many of our projects (eg. Same behavior of App when there is an incoming call, same social media capabilities, etc ...) Requirements ---- CommonRequirements ----------- Category A ------------------- Requirement 1 ------------------- Requirement 2 ---------- Category N ------------------- Requirement X ------------------- Requirement Y ------------------- Requirement Z And the Test Cases for these requirements, with their own folder structure and the links to those requirements, are written with generic language that allows that they also apply to each project. Test Cases --------- Folder A --------------TC 1X --------------TC 2Y --------- FolderN --------------TCZa --------------TCZb I want an easy way to clone (or export/import) the Requirements, Test Cases, and Traceability to different projects. Enhancement 2 If possible, during the above operation (Enhancement 1) I'd also like to link the requirements to a specific release during the import.3.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: What are the best reports in QAComplete to use?
We were going to purchase the OnPremise this Summer, but shortly before we made the call to go for QAComplete the licensing policy was modified and the OnPremise wasn't available anymore. We haven't got enough data yet to tell which are the most useful reports. Sorry.3KViews0likes1CommentClone a Project including Releases, Requirements, Test Cases and the Traceability between them.
Away to Clone a Project (Clone+ ?) that includes Releases, Requirements, Test Cases and the Traceability between them. This would support test management for branches in a Sw project.1.8KViews1like0CommentsLink a specific version of a requirement or test case to a Release
When associating a requirement to a Release (Release A), keep track of the version of the requirement and test cases that relate to this. If in further releases (Release B) a requirement or a test case changes, the Release B will be associated to the new version of the Requirement and/or Test Case, but Release A will not be affected by that. Optionally, offer through a dialog if any of the linked (and still active) releases needs to be updated or not to link to the new Req/TC version3.5KViews2likes1CommentSpecify Number of Test Cases Needed to cover a Requirement
I would like to be able to determine, at the requirement level, how many test cases I am planning to have for it. Example. I have a requirement that will need 3 test cases. I only write and link one of the 3. The requirement is only 33% covered, as oposed to be considered just "covered" (binary option) when 1 test case is linked. Regards Note: This feature is already available in open source tools such as TestLink and it proves very useful.1.7KViews1like0CommentsHow can I clone a project?
I need to clone a project, but not just the folder structure and custom fields and such. I need the new project to have also all the Releases, Requirements, Test Cases and, most importantly, the links between them that the original source project has. What is the simplest way of doing this? - Christian Ekiza (cke@qad.com) QAD Inc.1.2KViews0likes1Comment
