Re: Unable to access child nodes in SOAP response using XPATH
Hi, The following xPath expression would do the trick. declare namespace ns1='http://service.intel.com'; declare namespace ns2='http://res.readdnbenricheddatabyid.com'; declare namespace soapenv='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/'; //soapenv:Envelope/soapenv:Body/ns1:read_DnBEnrichedDataByIDResponse/ns1:read_DnBEnrichedDataByIDReturn/ns2:busnsOrgLocAddr/ns2:addrUsgTypeCd Or the second approach is (not recommended though) //*:read_DnBEnrichedDataByIDResponse/*:read_DnBEnrichedDataByIDReturn/*:busnsOrgLocAddr/*:busnsOrgAddrTypeCd Hope this will help. Hi, The above shared solution should work. Or you can use the wildcard character instead of the namespace in your xPath expression. //ns1:Node1/ns2:Node2/ns3:Node3 should be written like //*:Node1/*:Node2/*:Node3 Best Regards, {Pradeep Bishnoi} http://learnsoapui.wordpress.com1.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Assertion with wildcards
I guess we just missed out the namespace in the Expected result. <ns1:File>*</ns1:File> and also then check the "Ignore namespace". If it doesn't work, then kindly share the what you get on clicking the "Select from Current". There you can replace the result with *. Hi, I guess what you are looking for can be acheived from soapui itself. Just select the project & then right click the method interface [Green icon] (not the test suite). That will give you an option to "UPDATE DEFINITION". This will help you to update all the test request /testcases/suite and so on in your project as per the new changes in WSDL file. NOTE: Please create a backup of your project file first. Regards, {Pradeep Bishnoi} http://learnsoapui.wordpress.com722Views0likes0CommentsRe: Assertion with wildcards
Hi, The xpath expression should go like this : declare namespace ns1='http://sword-insurance.com/openplus/documentservice'; //ns1:Document[1] followed by the expected result : <File>*</File> just make sure the "Wild Card" option is checked. I hope this will help. Regards, {Pradeep Bishnoi} http://learnsoapui.wordpress.com5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Running the testsuite by setting the endpoints dynamically
Hi, This can be achieved by parameterizing the EndPoint URL. i.e., create a Custom Property (Global/Project level would be good) and in the endpoint URL just use the property expansion code. Using groovy setup script or tear down script just change the value of so created property and it will be dynamic ;-) Best Regards, {Pradeep Bishnoi} http://learnsoapui.wordpress.com616Views0likes0CommentsRe: please help on transfer a value to a attibute
Hi, This seems to be bit more than what Deepesh replied above. Since your request/response data contain CDATA tag you need to remove that before applying the property transfer step. For the same you can either search the forum or soapui.org website or my blog ;-) Then create a simple testcase level property (or any other which way you are comfortable) and replace the msisdn with the following ${TestCase#myNewProperty} BTW, also replied to your mail. Hi, My best guess would be : You have installed soapUI PRO TRAIL version and the trail period is expired now. So now it will act as Soapui Open Source version only, no pro features would be supported. And if this PRO licensed version, then it must have something to do with the DataSource/Field name used in the request. Share more details. Hi, We have a separate community for Pro user, so being a pro user this question should be diverted into that. Then SmartBear support team would be able to help you. Hi, Have a variable created at Test Case level and name it testCaseVariableName. Then put the below expression in Contains assertion. ${#TestCase#testCaseVariableName} Best Regards, {Pradeep Bishnoi} http://learnsoapui.wordpress.com799Views0likes0Comments
