The simple answer is 'yes'. soapUI does REST testing. You have a choice to start your test project using the WADL definition of a set of REST calls, or if WADL is not available you define the REST service interact in soapUI and then reuse the definition. It's slick. -Frank867Views0likes0CommentsRe: soapUI 4.5.1 on Mac 10.8.2 "is damaged and can't be opened"
Thanks to a SmartBear support team member's tweet to me I got the install to work. Mac 10.8.2 introduces an extra security protocol. I used the System Control Panel -> Security & Privacy -> Allow applications downloaded from: Anywhere. That lets the soapUI installer run correctly. -Frank12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.1KViews0likes0Comments- 12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.1KViews0likes0Comments
soapUI 4.5.1 on Mac 10.8.2 "is damaged and can't be opened"
Downloaded soapUI 4.5.1 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/soapui/ ... g/download Mac OS X 10.8.2 reports "soapUI 4.5.1 Installer is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash." Oh no! java -version java version "1.6.0_37" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_37-b06-434-11M3909) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.12-b01-434, mixed mode)12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: WsdlTestCaseRunner not returning a result code
I'm making a little progress here using this code: WsdlTestCaseRunner runner = testcase.run(pmap, false); if (TestRunner.Status.FAILED.compareTo(runner.getStatus()) != 0) { // We never get here. Appears to be a bug. } if (TestRunner.Status.FINISHED.compareTo(runner.getStatus()) != 0) { Iterator it=runner.getResults().iterator(); while(it.hasNext()) { TestStepResult tsr=(TestStepResult)it.next(); System.out.println( "Frankolo3: " + tsr.getError() ); for(String n: tsr.getMessages()) { System.out.println( "frankolo5: " + n+" "); } } } I added an XPath assertion that purposely fails. Here's what I see logged: Frankolo3: null frankolo5: [XPath Match] XPathContains assertion failed for path [//part[1]] : Exception:org.custommonkey.xmlunit.Diff [different] Expected attribute value '20' but was '10' - comparing <part location="20"...> at /part[1]/@location to <part location="10"...> at /part[1]/@location Next I'm going to look for how to detect this as an exception. Hey! At 34 views of this thread, someone else should have solve this! Anyone?!#@ :-) -Frank13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions826Views0likes0CommentsWsdlTestCaseRunner not returning a result code
TestMaker's soapUI script runner is not seeing the result code when an assertion fails in the soapUI TestSuite. What API should we use to get the assertion failure message? Here is a snippet of code we use to call soapUI. Thanks, in advance. -Frank --- This is the code we are using to figure soapui assertion but does not work: WsdlTestCaseRunner runner = testcase.run(pmap, false); if (TestRunner.Status.FINISHED.compareTo(runner.getStatus()) != 0) { if (runner.getError() instanceof Exception) { throw (Exception) runner.getError(); } throw new Exception(runner.getError()); }13 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.6KViews0likes2CommentsPushToTest Hiring Test Architect - soapUI at Best Buy
