Redirect Request treated differently for 4.0 and 3.6.1
Hello, I have two SOAP UI versions 4.0.0 and 3.6.1. I am using the same project for both the SOAP versions. However while handling the re-direct call SOAP 4.0.0 does a GET where as SOAP 3.6.1 does a POST request. The response from SOAP 3.6.1 is correct because it makes a POST request. But the response from SOAP 4.0.0 is incorrect. Shouldn't the SOAP 4.0.0 be making a POST request rather than GET request. Or if this is default behavior that re-direct is only for GET, then it should be allowed to override it and allow even the POST request to be re-directed. Logs for SOAP 4.0.0 and SOAP 3.6.1 are attached. Thanks,12 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions972Views0likes0CommentsDifferent responses from diff SOAP versions for same server
Hi, I have two versions of SOAP UI one is 4.0.0 and second is 3.6.1. I have SOAP project created, which is currently used for generating SAML Art from an IDP server. Now when I see the response received from both the SOAP versions, I see the response different. SOAP 3.6.1 has an additional tag coming in the response where as this tag is missing from the SOAP 4.0.0. When the Http logs are compared for both the SOAP 4.0.0 and 3.6.1, the difference I see is that re-direct request on 3.6.1 goes as POST where as on 4.0.0 it goes as GET. Not sure why the difference. Attaching the logs for reference. As said earlier, then server being used for both the SOAP versions is same. The behavior of 3.6.1 is correct and the request should be sent as POST. Not sure what configuration is incorrect due to which request goes as GET from 4.0.0. It would be great if someone can share their insights to get this resolved. Adding of new Property transfer did work. However I wanted to avoid that, since SOAP allows the property set at Test Case level and allowing the property to be used in the test step. I am not sure why its not working for me. I have attached a screen shot which will give the details of how the property is being called.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Property Expansion not happening from the Temp Property
Thanks Deepesh for the reply. I did try that, but that too did not work for me. Some additional information, the property TempInstanceId is defined at the test case level which has two test steps to it. The value to TempInstanceId property is being passed from one more property which has been added to the first test step. And I need to utilize this temp property for second test step. Let me know if you have something else that i can try.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsProperty Expansion not happening from the Temp Property
Hi, I am following the URL http://www.soapui.org/Scripting-Propert ... nsion.html where the session ID is passed to temp property and then the temp Id is used in the test step for execution. I am following the same steps. I see the id getting passed to temp property, however the value is not getting replaced in the next test step. Following is the way i am referring it in the next test step <brid:instanceId>${#CreateVideo#TempInstanceId}</brid:instanceId> But the value is not getting replaced when i execute the test step. Can someone let me know what may be going wrong? Thanks.2KViews0likes5CommentsProperty Expansion not happening from the Temp Property
