Run Step for test case in an external project
I know it is possible to leverage test in a test suite using the Run Step to build out more modular test cases. However working with a large team and due to the test structure of the application is it possible to leverage test cases across projects like a Library project that houses base service request that can be pulled into multiple projects across the team?10 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.4KViews0likes3Comments- 10 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions5.7KViews1like0Comments
Chinese Standard Characters
So I know when I uses a groovy step I am able to see the characters that I am passing into a string (within my script) log.info '简化字' however when I execute this line the console only shows "boxes". Again, if I add the string to a property step, I am only able to see "boxes" but I can run valid comparisons on the properties. Is there any way to get the tool to properly display Chinese characters throughout10 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions7.5KViews0likes25CommentsRe: Newline changed when switching to the from editor
We are seeing a similar issue. If we copy an XML request that has empty nodes into XML view (ie <node/>) we can execute the request with a successful response. We can jump into the outline or raw view and back to XML view with no change, and still get a successful response upon execution. However, when we move to the form view the empty nodes become replaced by empty lines causing the test to fail do to contract mismatch. A significant issue when I just convinced my manager to purchase 20 licenses. before form view <ns1:FileEncryption xmlns:ns1 = "http://someurlpath"> <ns1:DecryptFile>true</ns1:DecryptFile> <ns1:KeyID/> <ns1:PassPhrase/> </ns1:FileEncryption> after form view <ns1:FileEncryption xmlns:ns1 = "http://someurlpath"> <ns1:DecryptFile>true</ns1:DecryptFile> </ns1:FileEncryption>11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.3KViews0likes0CommentsSoapUI Pro remote execution question
We currently have a handful of SoapUI Pro licenses. We are working on QC integration and part of our test uses the event driven step for after a test run and this creates a reporting file. However this functionality is not available in the free version. My question is is it possible to execute this test on a remote machine that has the free version or would we need to purchase a license for each of our lab machines.11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions915Views0likes1CommentPro Features through Netbeans/Eclipse
Is there any way to get the pro features using either the Eclipse or netbeans plugin. I have tried the .nbm but it looks like it is only for the free version and lacks any of the pro features.11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.1KViews0likes1CommentRe: Groovy - Get Java Exceptions
What I am looking to do from a little trial and error is capture something like def sMessages = testStepResult.getMessages().toString() log.info " Step Messages: " + sMessages That code works if it is in an event for "TestRunListener.afterStep" but where I am at right now I Would like to get the same data "TestRunListener.afterRun"11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Groovy - Get Java Exceptions
not sure I follow. We have custom integration with Quality Center and I am looking to force errors for some of our web services, Some security testing of trying to hit our services off network for example. I know and expect the Unknown host error to be thrown and I want to capture the Java error. I know there is custom reporting that can be set up through SoapUI but I was really hoping that there would be a way to capture the error directly through my test script.11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.4KViews0likes0CommentsGroovy - Get Java Exceptions
I am looking for a way to capture java exceptions such as "Thu Sep 12 15:38:44 CDT 2013:ERROR:java.net.UnknownHostException: badurl.com" Stack track would be great but I am really looking to capture when it happens. I am aware that the Error Logs show both the error and the stack track but is there anyway to capture the errors from a groovy teardown script. I am intentionally trying to throw these errors so I want to capture them within the test script insted of the default error logs. Thanks in advance.11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.3KViews0likes5CommentsRe: [Resolved] groovy question. get testcase name
I have it working with custom reporting to Quality Center. I wrote a 3 part article that explains it as it has several steps @ http://ryanoglesby.net/2013/08/30/executing-soapui-from-quality-center-part-3-the-final-chapter-framework/11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions8.3KViews0likes0Comments
