Re: SOAP UI removes Carriage Returns and Line Feeds
I have managed to use ${="\r"} at the end of each line. Now request is coming in different lines but I am not able to add a white space between two lines. I have tried adding ${="\r"}${="\n"} at the end of each line but the server doesn't receive the new line. Any hints? Please6.8KViews2likes1CommentSOAP UI removes Carriage Returns and Line Feeds
Hi, I am trying to send following request as HTTP POST to a Biztalk server I have declared a Content-Type header. Although the request looks like a multipart form data my development team told me to send this as a text/xml ----------071713084016098 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="parameterA" ${TestInput#parmA} ----------071713084016098 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="parameterB" ${TestInput#parmB} ----------071713084016098 Content-Disposition: form-data; name="parameterC" ${TestInput#parmC} ----------071713084016098-- When biztalk server recieves this request, the request comes as one line of text. ----------071713084016098Content-Disposition:form-data;name="parameterA"${TestInput#parmA}----------071713084016098Content-Disposition: form-data; name="parameterB"${TestInput#parmB}----------071713084016098Content-Disposition: form-data;name="parameterC" ${TestInput#parmC}----------071713084016098-- Any idea why SOAP UI is sending all this in one line.7.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: SOAP UI 4.5.1 Response Encoding
Hi, Sorry about the confusion We are not writing to the database. The data is already in the database. The WCF service is just reading from the database, it sends this data to another system which performs validations based on the data received. I am just making sure that WCF service is pulling correct data from the DB and that's where I see the difference. SOAP response is displaying special chars differently. When I saw '&' in the SOAP response, I manually queried the DB to check that field and that's when I noticed the special char '&' is displayed as '&' in the SOAP Response1.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: JDBC test step assertion gives NULL output

Hi, Its a SOAP request test step. I am testing a WCF Service that takes in two parameters, performs a DB2 query and returns details in the response. The WCF service returns response as: <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <s:Body> <CheckBatchStatusResponse xmlns="http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/V1_0"> <CheckBatchStatusResult xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Code>Y</Code> <UserID>ABC001</UserID> <Number>5</Number> <StatusCode>F</StatusCode> <IsFree>N</IsFee> <Reference>M050508721</Reference> <Name>M & M Holdings</Name> <State>N</State> </CheckBatchStatusResult> </CheckBatchStatusResponse> </s:Body> </s:Envelope> When I checked the NAME field in DB2, it is stored as: M & M Holdings1.5KViews0likes0CommentsSOAP UI 4.5.1 Response Encoding
Hi, I am having issues with SOAP UI's SOAP response. The response doesn't display special characters as expected. The database field contains: " M & M Holdings" SOAP UI response displays that as: "M & M Holdings" Why is it displaying & as &? Is there a setting to turn this encoding off? Please help. JDBC test step assertion gives NULL output
Hi, I have a JDBC test step and I created a script assertion to store the response into properties test step. Everytime I run the script assertion I get an error pop up with "null" message ( see attached screen shot) Even though I get null message the response is stored into properties test step successfully. Any idea why I am getting error pop up with "null" message. Script Assertion below: If I remove the text in red, then the error pop up with "null" message goes away, is there any other way of storing response into a properties test step? ==================================================================== import com.eviware.soapui.support.XmlHolder def groovyUtils = new com.eviware.soapui.support.GroovyUtils( context ) def holder = groovyUtils.getXmlHolder( "RetrieveBatchNumber#ResponseAsXml" ) def myProps = new java.util.Properties(); def testCase = messageExchange.modelItem.testCase myProps = testCase.getTestStepByName("BatchNumber"); // loop item nodes in response message and store actual record values for( item in holder.getDomNodes( "//Row" )){ def batchNum= groovy.xml.dom.DOMCategory.xpath(item, "//BATCH.BATCH_NUM") def rcdDate= groovy.xml.dom.DOMCategory.xpath(item, "//BATCH.RCD_DATE") myProps.setPropertyValue("expectedBatchNum",batchNum) myProps.setPropertyValue("expectedDate",rcdDate) }2.8KViews0likes4Comments
