Re: Migrate from Zephyr squad to Zephyr Scale
Hi Ed, We have recently posted our roadmap for Squad to Scale upgrades on this page. Currently, if you are in Cloud, you can join our beta program. However, if you are on Server, you can migrate Test Cases using the built-in import feature. For other object types, you need to use our API. โ Test cycles and executions can be recreated in Zephyr Scale using both Zephyr Squad/Scale APIs to read and write data from the source Jira project to the target Zephyr Scale project. Please find below the documentation for both APIs: Zephyr Scale Server API (v1) Zephyr for JIRA API The only objects that cannot be migrated are boards and filters. As for Cycles, you only need to keep in mind that the logic is different in Squad and Scale. While in Scale you have folders inside Cycles, in Scale it's the other way around. Hi Lal, The current option to migrate Squad to Scale is to work with the CSV/Excel export>import features + API. We are working on a tool that should be released this year to accomplish Squad Cloud > Scale Cloud migrations. We will not provide a path to jump directly from Squad Server to Scale Cloud. Hello! Any customer may (and we hope they do) start assessing, planning, prepping, and testing Jira migrations right now!! One just needs to go ahead and install JCMA for that. But if you want to (test) migrate Zephyr Scale data through JCMA, you must first apply to the Early Access Program of the JCMA-with-apps-migration feature. That is done here. If you are approved, you will receive contact from Atlassian with a good-to-go message, then you need to inform SmartBear about it so we can enable your instance for the data migration. Thatโs the only way JCMA will also migrate your installed app's data. Be aware that the EAP approval is done by Atlassian. Since app migration through the JCMA is in the beta phase, we do not recommend any of our customers migrate directly to a production instance. You should first do it in a staging environment.
