In the future if we decide to move away from Zephyr, will we be able to migrate the data.

In the future if we decide to move away from Zephyr, will we be able to migrate the data to a new tool or at least do we still have the option to retain them in JIRA in some form.

I believe the export functionality is limited at present. Is that correct?

For example, I can currently find no way to export execution results for individual test steps or step attachments. It appears that only overall pass/fail results of execution can be exported.

That is correct, it's limited. The only full export option is of your test case repository.

If you want to export specific test execution results, a workaround would be to generate a test case execution report and then export the data.
