How to find empty test folders

Hi there,

We are using folders to organize our test library and our test cycles. Our testers are asked to add tests to reflect their current assignments in these folders.

I would like to be able to find all folders in the tree that do not have any test cases in them. Ideally this would be a report. Currently I have to expand all folders and click each one in turn in the GUI.

That way I can find out what cases we are still waiting to see drafted.

Is this possible?

Many thanks.

  • Hi julian_palmer ,

you don't have to click every folder to check if its empty. Just use the Expand all feature and look for any folder that does not have a number in brackets after its name. These are the empty ones. Might be a bit tedious but should not take too long.

    Cheers

    Josh

      Hi Josh,

      Thanks for the comment!

Yes, you are right. I had not noticed that.
