What I would really like in order to demonstrate swagger self-documenting APIs to decision makers is a VM environment setup with simple demo application source codebase with example swagger annotations in the app source code that can then be used to deploy an interactable swagger API. A bit like the swagger petstore demo, but with the developer code annotation bits that need to go with it. Is there any such beast available that I have been missing?
It's very hard to convince app developers (or more importantly their product manager overlords) to implement this stuff. I'm a technical writer by trade and have worked on labour-intensive manual API documentation (usually output in boring PDF form) - which relies on developers giving me accurate up to date information - when everyone should be using OpenAPI swagger nowadays.
