Transfer property value to request header in next step.

Hi all,

I'm trying to transfer one property from one test step response to next step request.

I have managed to extract the property in a property called myproperty but now I need to use this property in an authentication header but using $myproperty in header value the value is not correctly set during testing.

please can you help me to set the header with the property value.

thanks in advance, Pablo.

Hi,

attached the transfer screenshoot.

I have tested with both properties and with only one property and same issue.

any ideas ??

best regards, Pablo.

@pablofuentesbod,
Am not sure if someone is not able to following the instruction mentioned in each of the reply, that is what I feel.

It has been asked to remove temp_property step.

In the property transfer step, Select TestCase as Target.

If the does not make sense, please ignore.

Rao.

Hi,

I have the same problem.

I added two screen dumps of my settings. Perhaps there is something wrong?

Hmm, really frustrating for both.

Step1:

Select test case name, and select custom tab and add property as mentioned and leave value blank (a Property Transfer step is going to write value for this )

Step 2 : Go to Property transfer step, make the changes as suggested in the image i.e., Select the test case for the target drop down and Select the Property name

Then remove the tem_property test step

@pablofuentesbod,

Think I am not following this example well myself.  I need to transfer my header of bearer and then the access token and put both in the same value box.  Am I correct in assuming that this is what you were doing here.  If so can you can you share screen shots of you set up.   I am getting NULL in my transferred values.   thanks for your help..
