“SoapUI 5.6.0 Installer.app can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software"

When I try to install SoapUI v5.6 on MacOS 10.15.7, I get this error message:

“SoapUI 5.6.0 Installer.app” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

Is there any workaround?

I had the same issue. Go here - https://www.soapui.org/downloads/soapui/soapui-os-older-versions/#_ga=2.259719434.1029072957.1625854... and download the previous version (5.5.0). I was able to install it without an error. Hopefully there's a better fix soon.
