Custom fields based on another list

I am attempting to add a custom field to my Requirements screen.  I want it to be populated with the same custom choice list I already set up on my Defects screen. 

I have linked the two, but no options are appearing in the dropdown on the Requirements screen.... the correct choice list does appear on my Defects screen. 

Is this a known issue?  Or maybe I am not understanding how the "choice list(based on another field)" is intended to work.

I am using the SaaS version of QAComplete if that makes a difference.

Hi,

Choice List (Based on Another Field) field shows only values that are already used in existing records.
So, after you create several Defects and populate the corresponding field with different values from the target list, you'll be able to see and use these values for selection in the Requirements area.
