when your load is ready in LoadNinja, what are the best testing parameters for the best result?

when your load is ready in LoadNinja, what are the best testing parameters for the best result?

Like in Script Section, how many VU's Demo, Petsearch and loginlogout? 

does any best practice exists or it is different from situation to situation? 

 

  • It depends on what you want to test and analyze. For example, 

    • If you want to do a quick smoke test, then a small number of VUs would suffice
    • If you're trying to do a soak test where you have a steady state of VUs over a long period of time, maybe it could be a couple of hours or even longer
    • If you're doing a test to ensure application can handle expected number of end users, you could simulate the same expected number in the load test

     

    In general, I would recommend making sure you have a lot of ramp up steps in scenario, and if possible, have the steps equal the number of peak VUs so you can better identify the system's capacity and isolate the exact performance issue happening at a specific ramp up of VU.
