Historically we've announced releases on our blog, or in Markdown documents on GitHub.
Using Markdown in Git is great, because it's version controlled alongside the source. However, it excludes everyone else from having discussions about a release. The community often has questions.
I propose we continue to use Markdown in Git, but whenever we make a significant release, we also start a new topic in this forum where the community can continue the conversation.
