Reporting does not allow viewing of Participant Custom Fields in any way

I guess there is a way to pull it from the API, but that is messy.  We have Participant Custom Fields that we use, and want to get the information filled in those fields (or not) per participant in the reviews.

    I wonder if this is related to a known bug that I filed a while back...  The Report tool won't allow us to chose certain drop-down customer fields for a search/report generation.   (case 184369)
