Since the 8.2 update, folders are no longer sorted alphabetically and there is no way to change the sorting method or move them around. This makes it hard to organize and find test repo and global repo folders. Please add a sort by option, revert to sorting alphabetically, or at least make the folders organizable by clicking and dragging.
Folder Sorting

We just upgraded, and my QA team is having a lot of issues with this change. Most of the documentation goes to a 404 page so I can't find any settings or solutions to help them.

It is very disturbing because we try to get a kind of order in our testdesign by numbering and with this new feature it costs us a lot of time to find what you need and to distribute testcases to testers. For us this needs a high prio because it is a step back
Good morning. Last week, we have been upgraded to the 8.2 version and face the same issue. Folders in a test execution cycle are sorted each time in a different way when you open a cycle for the contents. For dashboard and test planning view, it is still sorting by name so I can only assume this is not intended. For our users, this is quite confusing. Any information about status quo or ETA for a fix?
Kind regards

We are getting a lot of negative feedback from our testers about the change in version 8.2 to sort the folders in the test case tree by last update date. They say with the folder order changing constantly, it is hard to find anything, especially if there are many folders. Most see this as a step backwards. Can you add in an option to go back to the alphabetical sort for those who are struggling with this change?

The change to have the most recently updated folder show at the top makes the folder list a big jumbled mess. Please offer an option to sort manually or alphabetically.
We had a call with Smartbear support some days ago. They told us that they are developping something for this already. It will be part of a patch that's coming after 8.3 version in Q1 2025.
In test execution, sorting will be different in my/all executions. One will have the new way of sorting and the other the old, alphabetical way. In test repository, they want to provide options how to sort.
