Tests doesn't work correctly with Chrome 145.0.7632.117

Hello,

I am experiencing issues with TestComplete when running our web tests after Google Chrome automatically updated to version 145.0.7632.117.

Issues observed:

  • Click actions (Click()) are now offset, executed outside the target element, or trigger errors such as:
“There was an attempt to perform an action at point (…) which is transparent or out of the window bounds.”
  • Some elements are successfully found with FindElement(), but TestComplete can no longer click them, or the click lands to the side of the control.
  • These issues only started happening after Chrome updated.

Environment details:

  • TestComplete version: 15.80
(Chrome 138 is the latest officially supported version according to the SmartBear documentation.) [support.sm...rtbear.com]
  • Chrome version: 145.0.7632.117
  • SmartBear Test Extension is enabled and visible in chrome://extensions
  • All tests were working correctly prior to the Chrome update

Request:

Could you please provide the Chrome Compatibility Patch for Chrome 145 (or 146 if already available)?

According to SmartBear’s documented patch procedure, newer Chrome versions require updated compatibility modules, specifically the files:

  • tcCrHook.dll
  • tcCrHook.dll (x64)
  • tcCrHost.exe

(as described in prior Chrome patch installation notes). [d34szjk54u...dfront.net]

I can provide:

  • TestComplete logs
  • Screenshots of failures
  • A reduced reproducible project
  • System configuration details if needed

Please also let me know if an upcoming TestComplete release will include native support for Chrome 145+.

Thank you,

You need to open a Support Ticket, not a TestComplete Feature Request!
