Agreed with what tristaanogre said. This is definitely more of an issue with how you have your mapping setup. Auto-mapping from recording is a great first step, but will never be your final effort for mapping objects. You HAVE to go in and manually adjust your ID properties and values, extended find, etc... Test complate mapped the object again because there is a dynamic property in the object or it's parents that is changing. So as far as test complete know it IS a new object.
I see this a lot with people newer to test complete. I highly suggest spending time reading through everything in the documentation about object identification:
