Crossbrowser Testing Tool Support for browsers

The CrossBrowser integration with TestComplete runs automated tests on the actual devices in the CrossBrowserTesting cloud space using a copy of test execute spun up to do so.  TestExecute will not run on MacOS or Ubuntu not can it be installed on Android or iOS devices.  While CrossBrowserTesting.com supports those operating systems in the direct live tests available in CBT, the integration with TestComplete is limited.

     So basically Copy of TestExecute are running on those VM machines in the cloud ?

Correct.  That's exactly what's happening.  So, because of that, you can't run your automated tests against Ubuntu or MacOS because you can't run TestExecute on those.  If you're familiar with doing Mobile testing with TestComplete, you know that testing on an actual device does not consist of running TestExecute or TestComplete on that device but connecting it to TestComplete. This is not possible through the cloud environment, hence why Android and iOS cannot be used with TestComplete integration currently.

basically... it's a limitation of the technology... you can't run a Windows application (TestExecute) on a non-Windows operating system...

I'm really not expecting it unless they, somehow, develop a MacOS and Ubuntu version of TestComplete/TestExecute.  Then, at least, they'll be able to run the tests on those OS versions.  Likewise, until the technology changes when they will have something like a mobile version of TestExecute to run tests, I don't think it will happen.

What are the other ways to automate tthe tests on MacOS and Ubuntu OS?

We do have Crossbrowsertesting.com license.

We do have Testcomplete and TestExecute license. We are running our automated tests - Using crossbrowserfeature inside the TestComplete. We are running through Window 10, window 8 and Window 8.1 and accordingly FF, chrome and Edge 

Our department want to achieve the goal of automating those tests for MacOS and Ubuntu OS. How we can do ?

Currently, you cannot use TestComplete to test on MacOS and Ubuntu OS.  

The CrossBrowserTesting tool, directly, has the ability for doing some automation of browsers and such on the various environments.  You will probably benefit from engaging in the CrossBrowserTesting forum and documentation on how to do so.
