Description:
While using TestComplete, I noticed a limitation when creating folders inside a project. Currently, only default TestComplete items, such as events, stores, and scenarios, can be added directly to these folders. However, users cannot create new files of other types directly within TestComplete.
Proposed Enhancement:
It would significantly improve efficiency if users could create files of any type directly from within TestComplete. This capability would streamline the workflow by eliminating the need to switch to Windows Explorer, another IDE, or a text editor to create these files and then add them to the project.
Current Workaround:
Although "Adding Arbitrary Files to Projects" allows adding external files, it requires the files to be pre-created, which negates the benefit of a streamlined, in-IDE file creation process.
Value to Users:
Allowing the creation of any file type within TestComplete would save time, reduce interruptions in workflow, and simplify project organization by centralizing all file creation and management within the TestComplete environment.
