Copying test items from one project to another project

Hello Team Smartbear,

We have been working with TestComplete for the past 3 years and we are very much satisfied with the tool and its performance.

Earlier we have created two different projects for two different softwares, but now they have merged them into one.

Now as a part of maintanance, we are trying to merge two different projects into a single project under the same Project Suite.

Is there any possibility to do so. If not, could it be considered as a feature request...??

(Note: We have tried to do it by copying and pasting the test items via XML, but script test items are missing even though the scripts are available)

Test item merge is not currently available.  However, for Script units and keyword tests, you can right click on the node in the project explorer and select "Add -> Existing Item".  You can then browse to the Script unit or Keyword test and add it to a project.  This will allow you to bring those items from Project A and add them to Project B and then remove them from Project A.

NameMapping has a built in "Merge" feature as well that you can, within Project B, select Merge, navigate to the NameMapping for Project A, and merge the two together.

    Hi,

Following the same idea, it would be nice if we could copy/paste from one projectsuite to another projectsuite test items...
