Extend parameter

Is it possible to extend a parameter reference in some way?

When trying to use allOf, it's telling me "should have required property 'in'" and "should not have additional property 'allOf'".

I'm trying to find some way to either add a default value when using a referenced parameter and/or group parameters together for easy re-use (like in this feature request).
