Unable to connect to my localhost DB (MySQL DATABASE) using SOAPUI

    Hi ,

    After doing some investigation I happened to find the issue. It was related to my db, it was allowing to connect only via SSH and it was refusing all other connections from external clients. My network admin opened the port to accept all external connections and that resolved the issue.

hello jagadeesh16.  without a little more context for your error, it is a little hard to debug...  Have you ever connected to your target database?  Did you used to connect but now you are unable to?  What might be the jdbc connection string you used?  For localhost, ssl might not be issue but you might have to review connection parameters for the database you are connecting to and adjust accordingly.  

 

I seem to have encountered a similar error in the past, but it had to do with ssl.  I adjusted the connection paramerters for ssl and was able to connect.

 

example:

connectionStr=jdbc:mysql://xxxxxxxxxx:port/dbname?verifyServerCertificate=false&requireSSL=true&useSSL=true
