Test case and test step difference when and how to use

Hi

I have to check one user workflow in 4 stages

so can i add 4 test case seperetely for that under 1 suite

or can i add 1 test case and in this test case add 4 steps ( every stage have separate endpoint URL)

    It needs to be 2nd type, one test case with 4 steps, I believe.

      if you tell me with some example or elaborate the case then it will helpful for me.

      asking because ..if i add one step under test case ..so which option i need to select 

      means while right click on Test step there is one option INSERT STEP ..here there are some options so which one i need to select REST Request or HTTP Request .

      ( Every step have different Endpoint URL)

       

      Plz guide me
