Missing wsi-test-tools in SoapUI 5.9.0
I installed SoapUI for the first time today. Got version 5.9.0 which appears to be the newest version.
When I try to validate a wsdl file, I get no response, upon checking the log I notice these messages:
Wed Aug 06 12:38:22 CEST 2025:ERROR:WSI checking failed. Exit code 127. Command line: sh -c /home/ogj/SmartBear/SoapUI-5.9.0/wsi-test-tools/analyzerV10.sh -config /tmp/wsi-analyzer-config7322080737977023408.xml
And when I check further, the wsi-test-tools folder is completely empty. Is this to be expected?
I used the default installer for my system (Linux)
Hi ogj
Yes, in SoapUI 5.9.0, the wsi-test-tools folder is intentionally left empty.
The WS-I validation components were removed from recent open-source builds and are only included in older releases or the commercial ReadyAPI version.
So, this is not a user or system issue but a change in the packaging of the 5.9.x releaseKindly give a try and see the outcome, download the WS-I test tools package separately from the official WS-I repository or from a previous SoapUI version (e.g., 5.5.0 or 5.7.0).
Copy the contents of the wsi-test-tools folder from an older installation
Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
