java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out

I'm using the latest maintence version of SoapUI (not pro).  if I submit a small SOAP message, it works.  When I submit a large message I get a timeout.  I tried changing the preferences, HTTP settin...

Can you ping the server? Do you see any thing in the server log when a soap call is requested?
