Failed to init connection for drvr [com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.Sy

Hello,

I get an error stating, "Failed to init connection for drvr [com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver], connectionString" while trying to make a connection to sybase database.
I've placed the required client jar, jconn3.jar in path, soapui_home/bin/ext folder and have restarted the tool as well, but with no luck. have also tried with, jconn4.jar but it failed as well.

Please note, when i try connecting to the database using sybase client, i'm able to connect successfully. But not using soapui pro 4.5.1.

is there anything I need to do differently, or am I doing something wrong. Any suggestion would help immensily. Thank you!

    Have you checked the logs of soapui? Does it have any clues?

    It's the same error in the log file as well, also I verified the driver(jconn3.jar) loads properly. Just wondering, how to get this working.

    I'm trying work with SOAPUI PRO for sybase database connection. Can you please let me know how and where u downloaded JDBC drivers for Sybase. Appreciate any help.

    Thanks for sharing info..I downloaded them from Sybase Portal and installed. Its working fine

    Here is my new issue.

    I'm using SOAPUI PRO 4.5.2. I'm having a scenario where I need to validate the response against database. I'm passing the values to sql dynamically by parameterizing. While running that dynamic query in Build Query editor of Datasource I getting an error " An escape sequence in a SQL Query was malformed ${meme_ck}" . Here I parameterized input value as ${meme_ck}.

    eg: select * from table1 where rqstValue1 = ${meme_Ck}


    Really appreciate any help on this.

    It should be in a new topic as the original issue for this topic is resolved. Why do not you use pro boards if you are having licensed version?
