thanks for your reply. I'm looking for the open source edition, I thought that the version did not matter for developing a plug in.

Hi,
its me again, sorry for my late replay.
I tried now to follow the tutorial found on the following page:
https://support.smartbear.com/readyapi/docs/configure/plugins/dev/develop/intro/sample.html
The maven command displayed there (mvn archetype:generate -DarchetypeGroupId=com.smartbear.maven.archetypes -DarchetypeArtifactId=soapui-plugin-archetype -DarchetypeCatalog=soapui/repository/maven2) creates the same error. So, where is my failure?
