XQuery Assertion Allow Wildcards isn't working

Question

I have an XQuery assertion whose output is XML. In the expected response, I have attempted to specify some values with a * wildcard character, and have selected the "Allow wildcards" checkbox, but the wildcards do not seem to be working. In order to get my assertion to pass, I needed to make my xquery script more complex to eliminate the value in some cases. I'm using version 5.0.0 Build Date: 20140409-1012.

Hi Marcus,I updated to the latest SNAPSHOT of 5.0.0 (SoapUI 5.0.0-m-SNAPSHOT Build Date: 20140605-1354) and it still does not work for XQuery Assertions.  I have seen this working in the past with XPath assertions, just not XQuery assertions.  I did a more diligent search of this forum, and found this post:  http://forum.soapui.org/viewtopic.php?t=15436 which is addressing the same issue.  My apologies for creating a new thread, but this seems to have been an issue for some number of releases.  Please let me know if I may provide any further information to assist you in recreation of this issue.Best Regards,Steve
