x509 Signing and Encryption only works with out format

Hi board

We have a small problem with our, x509 signed and encrypted, soap call.
It works if we just apply the outgoing WSS. But if we right click the request and format it(format xml).
Then we get a validation error. This we think is a bit strange.

Is there any one on this board, that can explain why one work and the other does not?
It is the same request(one is just formatted), so it should not matter if the request is send formatted or not. Or should it?!
