Where is the soapUI 3.6 User Guide?

In soapUI Pro 3.6, selecting Help > User Guide does not display the User Guide...it displays http://www.soapui.com.

I'm trying to use the new Web Browser test feature, but the only documentation I've found is one Web page that gives an introduction to that feature through a single example. In order to use this feature, I need detailed documentation. Where can I find that?

Thanks,
Bill

  • Thanks, but unfortunately a thorough search of http://www.soapUI.com for "Web testing," "HTML," "Browser," etc., finds only a large number of references to Web testing in various announcements of the release of soapUI 3.6, and in Features lists. etc., and only 1 page of "Getting Started" information about Web testing that shows screen shots of creating a Test Step that retrieves information from the header of http://www.soapui.com. My problem is far more complex than the one on the simple "Getting Started" example page -- I'm dealing with a home page that uses SSL, saves a cookie, contains vast amounts of JavaScript, etc., so the "Getting Started" example does not go far enough to meet my needs.

The link to soapUI API documentation that you provided opens the main page of API documentation for version 3.0.2!

==> Where is the detailed documentation of the new Web testing capabilities? (Please don't tell me that eviware released 3.6 without documentation!)

==> Why does the Help > User Guide menu item in soapUI Pro 3.6 link to the home page of http://www.soapui.org, instead of to the soapUI Pro 3.6 User Guide?

==> Where is the API documentation for version 3.6?

    Thanks!
    • Nope,

3.6 is not supported any longer. For Web Testing I'd recommend TestComplete. We will also be adding support forrunning Selenium scripts in R!A 1.3, but I would urge you to move over from 3.6, we have added and improved so muchsince then.
