Very long load times on web page runner

I'm trying out loadui and I ran into some strange behavior. When I try to load a webpage hosted on my network it will take about 4500ms to complete the request. When I do this in a browser the page pops up instantly. I tried both static and dynamic pages. Both with the same result. I think I may be missing something here as this is far from normal I think.
Any suggestions?

Thank you
  • Hi!

    This sounds strange indeed.

Do you happen to use a proxy? Do you get the same behaviour when using the SoapUI Runner (with a SoapUI TestCase with a single HTTP Request in it)?

I have just tested this and with the soapui runner I get times ranging from 10 to 20 under low load going up all the way to 3000 under high load. Under high load my cpu is maxed out on my test machine which is not the case when using the regular web runner with the same load numbers. I can use this method for my current testing needs. Thank you for the suggestion.
  • Hi, great to hear that the SoapUI Runner approach works for you. Notice that you can use the SoapUI Test Case both for functional tests in SoapUI and load testing in LoadUI.

If you want to go over the limit of your load-generating machine, consider using LoadUI Agents (which can distribute your load-generating scenarios over different machines).
