Using the JIRA Plugin when ReadyAPI is running in the console

Heya,

we'd like to have our ReadyAPI report failed test run directly to JIRA via the ready-jira-plugin
Since we are runing our devolpment tests via the testrunner.bat/sh, I was wondering if the plugin would still create a JIRA item once a testrun fails.

Has anybody any experience with this and maybe even a helpfull link?
That would be much appreciated.
