unable to load resource when starting LoadUI 2.1.1

I'm also having the same problem with 2.1.1 The wrapped exception is "java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://dlc-cdn.sun.com/javafx/pgz/javaf ... 1a.jar.pgz".
This was working fine the whole of last week,..and need to demo to management today but have been trying to resolve this issue the while morning,...Tried uninstalling reinstalling clear the java cache,...etc...still no joy

I have started having the same issue from today, been using it for the last 2 weeks with no problems seems it can't access this resource http://dl.javafx.com/1.3/javafx-rt-wind ... 1_b101.jar , looks like the resource is down as i can't access it through a regular browser.

After some research it appears that Oracle/Sun may be the culprit. The certificate for JavaFX expired on 1/29/2013, so instead of fixing the certificate issue, they may have yanked it from the site entirely. Downloading and running the JavaFX SDK/Runtime doesn't appear to fix the issue yet either. It too has the same problem of the expired certificate.

WebStart seems to be the core of the problem on using the local runtime. It requires the jars that are used to be signed, even if they are local. Since the jar is signed and the certificate is expired, it is deemed untrusted.

There may be a solution by making a batch file to launch LoadUI from a batch file using the java command line?

Manged to get it to run by running the batch file loadUItest.bat from the command line found in the installation directory.

I will try to use the loadUITest.bat now

Download JavaFX runtime from here, it will require an Oracle web site ID. You will need the 1.3.1 SDK

Once downloaded, install it. This will put the JavaFX directory on the system path. Once the install is done, running loadUItest.bat appears to make the application work again.

The reason this works is because it bypasses the JNLP process which requires signed content.

I have managed to start up LoadUI using billc's steps however I cant connect to my Ubuntu Agents
