UI hangs after opening REST Request editor (Mac)

Hello,

Opening the REST Request editor hangs the UI and I need to force quit the app. Happens in 4.5.1 & 4.5.1.1 (July 24). Tested on two Macs. Didn't see any exceptions in the log. Opening SOAP requests work fine.

No idea whats wrong but a coworker doesn't have the issue.

    hmm.. are you and your co-worker running the same MacOS and JRE!?

    Same OS (10.7.4). Same java version (1.6.0_33-b03-424-11M3720).

    Is there a debug mode that I can turn on to see what's it doing when I open the editor?

    Hi,

    hmm... no, unfortunately not. Can you check for a soapui-errors.log file in the soapUI\bin folder!?

    Nothing in the log.

    I was doing more tests on both of my machines with a simple scenario of creating a new project, adding a WADL, and opening the request editor for the a REST request. It works on the laptop (10.6. but hangs on the desktop (10.7.4). I did experience hangs on the laptop before but that might be a different issue. Both run the same JRE.

    I am also experiencing this problem. (As well as intermittent hanging with soap suites and soooo many others)

    Soapui pro 4.5.0 ( I tried 4.5.1 but http basic auth fails so I had to roll back)

    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_33-b03-424-11M3720)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.8-b03-424, mixed mode)


    Model Name: MacBook Pro
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,2
    Processor Name: Intel Core i7
    Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
    Number of Processors: 1
    Total Number of Cores: 4
    L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

    I tried to get the wadl but the app remains unresponsive on repeated attempts.

    I'm running soapUI from the command line by launching the soapui-pro.sh file (renamed to soapui-pro.sh.command) thats inside the app. This solved my constant freeze issues.
