UI Feature

First I like to ask for a ZOOM on LoadUI, I want to view all my project and zoom at a specific element on LoadUI Project.
Second the webapp called MindMeister (See: http://www.mindmeister.com ), have a lot of UI Features (like zoom, mouse screen movement and others) that can be mice used on LoadUI and can give some new ideas to get a new features for UI resources.

* I recomend all uses that read this post to use the MindMeister, is a very powerfull webapp to all for us!

Thanks everyone.
  • Interesting, thanks!

We have done some tests with zooming internally, and I can definitely see the use... we'll see what happens.

Sorry for the late reply (we read this when you wrote it, but forgot somehow to answer)!

  • Can we also have the feature of screen scrolling when we move the mouse to the edge? It'll be immensely helpful when we are trying to connect elements, which doesnt show up on the screen at the same time. Right now, we have to drag one to the side of another one, connect and then move it back where we want it to be. For example, when we are trying to connect multiple soapui runner to a single table log component.
  • Also can we have components to come to foreground when we switch from compact view to full size? Right now we have to click on it after maximizing to get it on top of any other component(s) around it.
  • One more feature would be really helpful to have is activating/deactivating (On/Off) all generators in a test case.

It'll really help for debugging purposes.

You can actually use the mouse scroll wheel while dragging a wire (it may look strange, but it works). It's not very obvious though, so I will think about how to best improve in this area (and I will document the scrolling feature within a week).

That's a good point; I will add it to our backlog. But it also makes me wonder how many components you have on the same canvas...

18 services (soapui runner), with their generators, 2 table log for output and error, and a statistics component for 1 service. So that's around 40.

If you are wondering why we need 18 services in one load run? Because we wanna load test under current production service call distribution, not just 1 service call in isolation.

    Interesting!

I wanted to share some tips with you that you may already know of: You can click, as well as click-and-drag, an area in the navigation miniature (bottom-right part of screen). Also, you can hold down Ctrl while dragging the mouse cursor.

Finally, since you mentioned realistic service call distributions, I wanted to share this new blog post with you.
