Starting LoadUI from command line in Mac

Hi all -- I am just getting starting using LoadUI, so please excuse me if this question has already been answered.

Am running v2.5.1 of LoadUI on my Mac 10.7.5 (Lion).
I was watching the video in the Developers Corner on creating custom components http://www.loadui.org/Developers-Corner/custom-component-reference-new.html. It is mentioned to start up LoadUi from the command line loadUItest.bat. However, I am not seeing this .bat file. All I see is loadUI.bat. However I am not able to run this from the command line. Is this a pc thing vs a mac thing? When I try to do this I get errors. How does one start up loadUI from the command line via a Mac in such a way that they can see output statements from the terminal window while developing a custom component? (like in the video).

Thanks in advance!
