SPNEGO Authentication

Hi,
We are currently working on the creation of web tests using SoAP UI Pro 4.5.2. The web server is using Kerberos authentication (Negotiate). We are facing a lot of issues as it seems that this mode is not working. This is blocking us as we need to finalize the performance tests before the end of this month for a major rollout (UBP : Union Bancaire Privée - Switzerland. Web application used by 500 users qualified as asset managers).
When changing the authentication mode into NTLM, the scripts are working properly. This will not considered as an option as Kerberos will be activated in production (impossible to change this config for security reasons).
We also made the Kerberos configuration (based on viewtopic.php?t=16022) by adding the krb5.ini, login.conf and windows registration keys. Same issue
1. Is the Kerberos authentication mode supported by SoAP UI Pro?
2. Is there any known bug related to this feature?

Please not that a support ticket was created

  • Hello,

Kerberos is supported by SoapUI, couple of things, when using this type of authentication please make sure that the user name that you are implementing looks like this DOMAIN\username. Also please go into SoapUI>File>preferences>HTTP Settings and toggle the Preemptively Authentication option. If you are still having issues please provide the error log and soapui log. Thanks.
