SoapUI crashing with open test case editor

Version used is 4.0.1
With an open test step editor SoapUI is crashing during test execution dumping a log file
in the ./bin directory.
Execution of the same test case with the test step editor closed yields a passed test.
However, when I then try to open the test case editor it crashes as well.
Am I dealing with a Java or a SoapUI issue?

    Hi,

    this seems to be related to the bundled browser component - can you give the nightly build a try (which has an updated version of this component)?

    I tried the SNAPSHOT currently available - and sometimes it is now ok.
    But I can easily reproduce the same crash - after running a test and then
    opening the test step editor it many times crashes.
