Regarding the nightly build: are you saying I should try out

?
Doing so indeed the startup with
rem uncomment to disable browser component
set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Dsoapui.jxbrowser.disable="true"
works now without problems, i.e. this seems a bug in 3.0.1
