Schema Compliance question

Hello,

I have a question about what exactly a schema compliance assertion does.

Does this mean that if any of the "type information" data changes or if any of the return types are removed/changed/added (not the values, but the xml types), the assertion will fail?

Thanks,

Jason

  • Hello,

For SOAP TestRequests, the Schema Compliance assertion validates the response XML message against the definition in the WSDL and contained XML Schema. So if the XML types have changed so that the response no longer validates correctly, the assertion will fail.
